how to setup bayanihan as a web+php+postgresql server... guys how can u make bayanihan as a web and database server... what are the files needed to be downloaded and install.. hope you can help me im trying to setup bayanihan as a web server so that i can run web programs created in php to wok with bayanihan.. thnks in advance

Hi:

It's nice to hear that you're trying to set-up Bayanihan as a web, database and php servers. This is in fact the beauty of Linux-based opensource software wher e the user has the freedom of whatever what he/she want to do with the software. Bayanihan qualifies this. While BL build its niche for the academic and business user, it can be set-up as the type of server you want to be. Though I personally haven't tried it but you can do this by downloading the rpm files you need. BL was developed based from RedHat/Fedora.

install the rpm files:

rpm -ivh packagename.rpm

take note of the dependencies that the package requires.

tnx fo the reply bro... im testing it this week... right now im downloading necessary rpm files for my server i'll post this and the steps in making this if im successfull... hehehhehe... anyway thx bro..

if your into simplicity.. install [url=apachefriends.com]xampp[/url] ... this will keep the lampp installation in easy to manage single directory.. then install and configure postgre... [/i]

Yeah, I am using the FREE Xammp files and ok naman sya. So far so good.
