1. Run Synaptic. (Menu > System > Synaptic Package Manager)
2. Click Edit then Add CD-ROM.
3. Insert the BL4 CD when prompted and press Enter.
4. Click Search then enter the word nvidia.
5. Select nvidia-glx by clicking on the green white square icon and then clicking on Mark for installation.

Important:: If you have an older video card (TNT, TNT2, etc.,), you need to select nvidia-glx-legacy instead.

6. Click Apply.
7. Exit Synaptic.

Next, you will need to edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
1. Run a console. (Menu > System > Konsole).
2. Type su, when prompted type your root password then press Enter.
3. Type the line below:
Code:
mcedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

4. Look for the line below (use the arrow keys for navigation):
Code:
        Driver          "vesa"

5. Change the line above to the one below:
Code:
        Driver          "nvidia"

6. Save the file by pressing F2 and exit by pressing F10.
7. Type the line below and press Enter.
Code:
modprobe nvidia

8. Add the nvidia driver to the startup files by typing the line below and pressing Enter.
Code:
echo "nvidia" >>  /etc/modules

That's it. Reboot and see if it works for you. Let me know if you were successful or not and I'll edit this HOWTO where appropriate.

yup should work too.

spca5xx is already installed by default with BL 4 (Bantayog). all you need to do is plug-in your webcam into a USB port and (if its supported) you can use Camorama or Kopete to actually use it.
